This page details the ways in which you can lend your support. From time to time we need volunteers with specific skills and these roles are advertised on our news page.

Warehouse Team

The warehouse team packs the shelves and ensures that donated food is in date.

This work happens on Monday to Friday between 10.00am to 2.00pm in the Church of the Nazarene, Ardrossan and also on Friday evenings from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Supermarket Collection Team

60% of our food comes from collections at supermarkets and so we needs teams of four volunteers who will look after a single supermarket.

We will only need to call on these teams four times a year.

These are agencies from across North Ayrshire who help by holding food boxes and issuing them to people with a voucher.

If you would like to help a partner agency let us know and we will pass on your details.

Permanent Trollies

It’s easy to donate to your local foodbank even if you are unable to make it to the warehouse, simply leave your donation in the permanent trollies in various stores throughout North Ayrshire.

Please bring any food donations to the foodbank during our opening hours.

Distribution Points

We are looking for organisations to join the network of distribution points. If you or your business/employer are able to hold a supply of emergency food boxes and be available at regular times to give them out then we’d love to hear from you. It would especially be good to have venues close to social services area offices where many referrals come from.

Contact us for more information.

Become a sponsor or partner

If you are a company that shares our belief that no-one should go hungry in our local area, we’d love you to work with us. There are many ways to get involved: from volunteering as a team building activity to sharing your expertise.
